Hunter started the InvestmentHunter in 2002 after easily beating the DOW returns 15 out of 16 years (his returns were audited in 2003). With encouragement from friends/colleagues to make his disciplines and portfolio public he started the InvestmentHunter two years after leaving the Corporate world. He produces three newsletters, two that focus on the stock market and one that focuses on financial planning.
Before starting the InvestmentHunter, Hunter wrote Financial Planning for four of the Dallas Ft.Worth newspapers, worked on Financial Plans for various private clients, and has participated in many seminars and public speaking events. Hunter also continues to be featured in many book signings, marketing his recently published book "Financial Planning by Made E-Z" at Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Border stores across Texas.
Hunter, has been involved in many businesses and investments using his expertise and background in Finance, Financial Planning, and Real Estate. Hunter also has an extensive background in sales and marketing after spending 17 years with IBM Corporation (IBM) and BMC Software (BMC).
Hunter, received his undergraduate degree with a Major in Finance at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Additionally, he took courses from the College of Financial Planning which resides out of Denver, Colorado, and received his Real estate license when he was 20 years old.
Hunter's portfolio has continued to have incredible success, as the InvestmentHunter portfolio (longer-term investments) returned over 57% in 2003, 11.6% in 2004, and over 7% so far in 2005. His TradeHunter portfolio (trades several positions per month) had a profit success rate of over 88% over the past three years (100% in 2005).
